Seminar Descriptions

Write A Screenplay In Two (2) Days

Tell me your dreams and I will tell you the concentric ring of the life you are living. In other words if you have a big dream you have a life of big experiences unless, of course, you keep all those dreams bottled inside you. Such dreams eventually become regrets.

So many of us live vicariously through the bigger than life icons we see on the screen. We live emotionally through their portrayal of characters whether they are good or bad characters. The paradox is we sometimes even identify with the villain rather than the hero in the movie. Could it be we possibly see something of ourselves in the villain or even note that circumstances may influence the villainous behavior? Perhaps ones past shapes ones present or so it may seem to us as we eagerly anticipate the emotional outcome of the drama. Is it possible the vicarious living through the characters on the screen are as real as our own lives? Where would you separate one from the other, if given a choice?

Does their life seem grand or exciting whereas your life seems dull and small? If your life seems mediocre in comparison it is likely your dreams are small, possibly mediocre. Nonetheless if you can go there in your mind, even through vicarious imaginings you do indeed live the experiences.

You may even think you have less or are less than the branded icons on the screen. However in your mind your choices are unlimited and your powers can be omnipotent. Their invested characterizations are the stuff your life is made of. They simply bring to life a perspective of characters and events that tell a story in a compelling way, intended to vicariously magnetize you into the story by having you identify with the events and characters as portrayed.

I daresay most of us, given a choice, would relish an exciting life, bigger than the icons on the screen that take us, if only temporary, into a world bigger and grander than the perceived landscape of our lives and issues.

Wherein comes the chance and the choice to create the landscapes, the screenplays, brought to life as we live vicariously through the icon characters and their invested portrayal of larger than life characters, events, experiences and capabilities. Millions of us have lived equally exciting and challenging lives as the icons portray on the screens.

All screenplays are presentations of events based on someone actualizing (bringing to life) certain aspects of a character and how the character interacts with others or handles the experiences, readily identifiable through associations of the audience.

You and your life is the stuff that screenplays are portraying. It is the events and challenges of others that command interest from an audience if presented in an optimum way. While our lives may be well represented by the emotions and events in a screenplay so few of us know how to present their experiences or ideas in a format that is interesting and compelling enough to qualify as a movie for others to vicariously experience. You see we sometimes falsely believe our lives are boring and mediocre yet great movies reflect that folks learn from the experiences of others. The icon characters in the movies often bring a different view, a different approach to understanding the character and the events or even a different spin that ultimately allows one to see different perspectives and grander horizons.

It is a fact a few folks live a seemingly larger than life experience or an extraordinary event that results in someone dramatizing their story as a screenplay for all to view. If you want your story to come to life there is a way to tell your story by bringing it to life as a screenplay. This sometimes necessitates a variation on the actual events so as to encompass more interest and associations from the audience that expects to live vicariously through your story as it unfolds in the movie. That simply means you must step beyond the boundaries of your own experiences and see them from the eyes of others. After all, isnt that what we do when we go to the movies?

Would you love to share a great story, perhaps even your own story? Have you falsely believed you lacked the skills to present your story as a screenplay? Think again!!!

When writing a book one tells a story with words whereas writing a screenplay requires a different, very stylized approach for the character and story to be revealed. One must learn to convey much feeling and information beyond the boundaries of the written word.

In writing a screenplay one must integrate subtleties, nuances, even landscapes that bespeak the story and characterizations, body posture and many other fine details. You will learn those aspects in the seminar and so much more.

In this seminar you will:
~~~ Receive a step-by-step, easy to follow system to use for writing your screenplay.
~~~ Personal, one-on-one direction (in class) throughout the writing of your screenplay. ~~~ Receive specific direction and exercises for you to develop and attain an invested (get in the mood of the events and the character) interest and emotional state needed to write the screenplay.
~~~Receive the support you may need to get past yourself or any blocks you may have to writing your screenplay. You must own the story and be the character to write a screenplay.
~~~ Write your screenplay in just two (2) days. You can tell your story or some other wonderful drama you want to share with others.
~~~ Money Back Guarantee. You will write your screenplay in two days provided you follow the process through or your enrollment fee is refunded. Thus each enrollee is personally screened by Sarah to determine level of desire and commitment prior to beginning of seminar.
Note: There are a maximum of 12 participants in this seminar to enable Sarah to give personal attention to all that attend.
You need to bring some materials to the class for you to write your screenplay. Therefore no one can enroll at the door. Once your enrollment fee is paid you are given a list of materials that you need and the specific location.
Bonus There is an elective third day one may attend for assistance in editing and possibly adding details or expounding on certain points. This day is not part of the writing of your screenplay as it is anticipated you wrote your screenplay during the two (2) day seminar. This is an excellent time to bond with your classmates, and share your story and get ideas from your classmates. Plus editing becomes fun and exciting in this environment.
